The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through HRSA distributed $2 billion more as part of the Provider Relief Fund. Last week, as part of Phase 4 of the Provider Relief Fund, they made payments to more than 7600 providers. This is in addition to the approximately $9 billion that was already distributed back in December 2021. In total, during Phase 4, there have already been payments given to 74 000 providers across the US.
In addition, as part of the American Rescue Plan Rural, a total of around $7.5 billion was given to more than 43 000 providers in December 2021.
