In a previous post we mentioned that for Period 1 Reporting, a 60-day Grace Period was extended for providers as part of the Provider Relief Fund (PRF). This Grace Period started October 1st, 2021 and ends November 30th, 2021 at 11:59PM ET.

This Grace Period was extended to allow providers some more time to come into compliance with reporting requirements if they failed to do so by the September 30th, 2021 deadline. It does not change the Period of Availability for use of PRF payments.

According to the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) website, providers should return unused funds as soon as possible after the report has been submitted. They also state that unused funds must be returned no later than December 30th, 2021, 30 days after the end of the Grace Period.
